Privacy Policy
For our mobile games: Letterkeep, Stackle and Clue Countdown. The short version: we don't ask who you are, we don't require an account, and we don't sell anything about you.
Effective September 12, 2026
What we never collect
None of our games have accounts or sign-up. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or contacts, and none of them request your location.
Things that apply to every game
Ads and the tracking prompt
Our games are free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. The first time you open one, iOS shows Apple's tracking prompt and asks whether the app may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites.
- If you allow it, your device's advertising identifier is available to AdMob and you may see personalized ads.
- If you decline, the app asks AdMob for non-personalized ads instead. Everything in the game works exactly the same.
You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device. Either way, AdMob may process device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, and our apps include Apple's SKAdNetwork so ad campaigns can be measured without identifying you. For details on Google's role, see the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner apps.
Progress saved on your device
Scores, settings, and puzzle progress are stored locally on your device. That data stays on the device and is removed when you delete the app.
Game by game
Online multiplayer
When you play an online game, this is stored in Google Firebase so the match can work:
- The display name you type when creating or joining a game. It can be anything — it does not have to identify you.
- Game data: room code, board, moves played, scores, and whether each player is connected.
- If you allow notifications, a push token for your device, so your opponent's moves can alert you.
Players are signed in anonymously — an automatic, random ID with no personal information attached. This data exists to run that game session and is not used for anything else.
Nothing beyond the basics
Stackle is a single-player game. Beyond the ads described above, it sends us nothing — puzzles ship inside the app and your progress never leaves your device.
Puzzle generation
Clue Countdown creates puzzles and clues using our own server functions. When you generate or play a puzzle, the puzzle content and your related game input are sent to those functions so they can return clues and answers. We don't attach your identity to these requests, because we don't have one.
Reference lookups and app assets
The game looks up reference material from Wikipedia's public API, and parts of the app's code are delivered by third-party content delivery networks. As with any internet request, those services receive your device's IP address in order to respond.
What we never do
- We don't sell your data, to anyone, ever.
- We don't collect precise location.
- We don't require an account or any personal information to play.
- We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Keeping and deleting data
Multiplayer game data in Letterkeep lives as long as the game room does, and push tokens are cleared when you leave a room. Everything else lives on your device and goes away when you delete the app. If you'd like something removed, email us — for a multiplayer game, include the room code and the display name you used.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
