Can I turn off the ads?
The games are free and ad-supported, so ads can't be removed. When you first open a game, iOS asks whether it may track you: decline and you'll still see ads, just not personalized ones. You can change that any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Can I turn off the sounds?
Yes — look for the speaker button in the top row of the game.
My progress disappeared
Progress is stored on your device, so deleting and reinstalling a game clears it. It isn't tied to an account and can't be restored from our end.
How do I play with a friend?
Tap the mode button, choose Play Online, then Create Game. Share the five-letter room code — your friend enters it under Join with code.
My game disappeared
Reopen the app and you'll be offered the chance to rejoin a game still in progress. Room codes are case-insensitive and never use the letters O or I, or the digits 0 or 1, to avoid confusion.
I'm not getting notifications
Check Settings → Letterkeep → Notifications and make sure they're allowed. Notifications only tell you when your opponent has played.
Is my word really not a word?
Words are checked against a standard dictionary. Proper nouns, abbreviations, and very obscure spellings usually aren't in it. If a legitimate word was rejected, email it to us and we'll take a look.
How do the packs work?
Stackle is organised into themed packs of puzzles. Everything is included in the app — there's nothing to buy or download, and you can play offline.
A puzzle won't load
Clue Countdown builds its puzzles on our server, so it needs an internet connection. If a puzzle stalls, check your connection and try again — if it keeps happening, email us and say roughly when it happened.
I think a clue is wrong
Send it over. Include the puzzle and the clue you saw, and we'll correct it.
What do the games collect?
No accounts and no personal information. The details, game by game, are on our privacy page.
